Cimpl Meats was founded in 1949 by Laddie, John, and Jim Cimpl. With 15 original employees, the plant was capable of processing 125 cattle and 100 hogs per month. Cimpl Meats now has over 200 employees and a capacity of processing 500+ cattle in one day. In October of 1988, Cimpl Meats was purchased by Rosen’s Diversified Inc., which would later merge in 2005 to what is now American Foods Group, LLC. As the 5th largest beef processing company in the United States, we ship over 4 million pounds of beef a day. Our manufacturing facilities include four beef harvesting and processing plants, two ground beef plants, and three case-ready processing plants located in five Midwestern States.
