1. Education/Experience: High school diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or civil engineering preferred. Three to five or more years of experience in design or sales with aggregate processing or heavy industrial equipment preferred. Project management experience preferred. Understanding of sales and marketing principles relating to selling through regional sales managers and equipment dealers preferred. A combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered. 2. Skills: Ability to operate general office equipment including telephone, computer, calculator, photocopier, and fax machine. Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database software, Internet software, and E-mail. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required. AutoCad/Inventor (or comparable software) knowledge and experience with 3D design software required. 3. Personal Characteristics: Good interpersonal relations skills when dealing with management, sales, dealers, customers, and inter-company personnel. Ability to exercise sound judgment and solve problems, work independently, effectively manage workload, complete projects and assignments in a timely manner and within deadlines, and work well under pressure. Excellent oral and written communication skills, resourceful, well-organized, meticulous, and accurate. Ability to manage stressful situations including equipment and/or process problem resolution with customers, dealer personnel, co-workers, etc. 4. Travel Requirements: Ability and willingness to travel worldwide by air and auto as required (+/- 5 weeks per year), possesses a valid driver’s license, able to obtain a passport if necessary, and has the financial means to travel when required. Approved work-related travel expenses will be reimbursed. Ability to visit construction, quarry, and industrial sites with exposure to dust, noise, and weather elements, and physically able to climb on equipment, aggregate stockpiles, etc. within this work environment.
With assistance from the product management group and the field sales force, direct, lead and manage project/systems type equipment sales opportunities including opportunities for nonstandard equipment. Develop and be able to present all documentation required for these opportunities including process flow analysis, equipment layout drawings and proposals. Assist other sales personnel in the development of production and operation cost data, product costing/pricing, sales tools, training materials, etc
