Easy to find, Hard to leave!
Tripp is located in Hutchinson county near the Missouri River. The town is home to 647 inhabitants as of the 2010 census.
Tripp hosts a celebration of its community each year called Tripp, SD Days, which offers a flea market, a car show and mud drags.

Tripp is located in southeastern South Dakota surrounded by farm land, smaller communities and close to Mitchell, Yankton and Sioux falls. Today Tripp serves as a regional center of Hutchinson County, located at the intersections of Hwys 18 and 37 providing easy access to the region’s major transportation corridor. With a thriving city center, recently remodeled school and economical housing, Tripp provides a quality of life beyond compare.
Tripp is a hub for a great deal of recreational opportunities. With Tripp Lake hosting an abundance of fish species, there is always an opportunity for some great fishing, no matter the season. It is also enjoyed for its swimming, picnicing and boating. The Missouri River is 30 miles west of here with plenty of recreation, hunting and fishing. During the fall, Tripp is at the center of some of the best Pheasant, Whitetail Deer and Waterfowl hunting on the planet.
