In our own words:
Nestled on a tree-lined hill above the Vermillion River valley, Centerville is a family-oriented community built on traditional values. We work hard to provide our youth with a quality education, to promote and support our local businesses and to ensure our residents maintain a high quality of day-to-day living.
Truly the "center" of area events, cities and recreational opportunities, Centerville is well located for living, work or play. Just 40 miles from South Dakota's largest city, Sioux Falls and 40 miles from one of South Dakota's largest recreation areas in Yankton, you will find that Centerville makes the perfect jumping-off point for whatever your interests may be. In addition, Centerville is only 20 minutes north of South Dakota's second-largest university, USD, in Vermillion.
