Fabricators

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English.  
• Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
• Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions and decimals.  Ability to read a tape measure.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of fabrication and hydraulic press operations, including basic set up, is desired.
• Ability to use tools in a safe and proper manner

Applicants must be able to withstand the following working conditions:

• Ability to stand for 10+ hours a day.
• Ability to lift/move 50 pounds.
• Ability to maneuver parts and pieces.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently.
• Capable of working as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
• Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents as well as follow instruction.

What You'll Do (Including but not limited to)

• Reads blueprints to understand required specifications.
• Loads, installs and correctly sets up and adjusts to meet required specifications such as dimension and degrees of fabrication.
• Fabricate sheet metal by cutting, bending punching and laser work for fabrication of skid steers.
• Uses measurement and hand tools to complete work.
• Reports basic materials, production and quality control issues to supervisor.
• Conducts preventative maintenance at the operator level.
• Performs assigned work to time standards and Manitou quality standards.
• Additional duties may be assigned, dependent upon location and product line.
