Manufacturing Engineer

1. B.S. degree in Engineering related field
2. Lean manufacturing experience preferred
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
4. Minimum Experience Necessary: 0<2 years

Objective of Position: This position is responsible for contributing to the improvement of the safety, quality, delivery and cost of the operation thorough applying engineering and lean manufacturing principles.            

Principal Responsibilities:        

1. Analyze and evaluate manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and materials in terms of their associated cost, time, safety, ergonomic, and quality and recommend solutions to improve.
2. Analysis of time studies, methods, process engineering, and plant layout to ensure balanced processes and implement process improvements for all gaps identified.
3. Troubleshooting and problem solving of production issues as they relate to the Manufacturing Engineering Department.
4. Participate in and lead kaizen events for continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
5. Assist in the implementation of engineering changes to the product throughout the factory processes.
6. Design and coordinate the build of tools and fixtures to assist in the welding processes to improve efficiency and quality. 
7. Prepare evaluations of, and justifications for, the procurement of new machines and equipment. Select and order equipment, over see its installation and train employees of its proper use.
