Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • High school diploma is required
  • Ability to operate computer and general office equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with emphasis on preparing presentation preferred.
  • Ability to work well with others, and demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully manage customer interaction in a variety of circumstances, some of which may be dissatisfied customers and/or dealer personnel

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily exposed to an office environment and occasionally a shop manufacturing environment or a vendor’s facility. The employee is periodically required to travel. Exposures at a shop manufacturing environment or a vendor’s facility can include moving mechanical parts, heights, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The employee is exposed to travel hazards associated with airline and automobile travel. The employee is occasionally exposed to electrical hazards, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in a shop manufacturing environment or a vendor’s facility environment can be very loud.

These tasks are assigned to help out the department and company and, as a member of the Astec, Industries team; each employee is expected to help in these areas.



Responsibilities:

Clerical assistance for the Technical Service Department, including answering incoming phone calls, development of training presentations and the Service Department database, and assistance with processing warranty claims, return goods authorizations, and return goods to vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with processing of warranty claims including entering claim, verifying information on claim, verifying request for credit filled out and approved and support documentation is provided, and issuing of credit upon approval

  • Processing and tracking RMA/RGA
  • Entering no charge orders into ERP
  • Occasionally assist in parts and service manual creation
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Periodic report creation
  • Audit support
